Neuro Lingusitic Programming has many levels where you can build on your own self study. For many of us formalised training allows us access to a greater level of detail along with support to help as we learn a new subject.
NLP has a variety of levels, for many who are starting out, the first starting point is the NLP diploma. The second stage after learning this begining aspects of NLP and starting to apply it for yourself is to then move onto the much more detailed NLP Practitioner Training. This will build on the diploma skills and provide a solid grounding in all the core NLP Techniques.

Live Your Dreams… Let Reality Catch Up: NLP and Common Sense for Coaches, Managers and You (Kindle Edition)
By admin | Filed in Home“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.” -William Arthur Ward How many of us live our lives according to others expectations? How many of us have put our lives on hold to accommodate a spouse (current or past), our parents, our children, someone who is needier than us, for our job… How many of us wander through life, with one day the same as the next with little passion for living or purpose in life? How many of us know we co (more…)
Sports has a lot of answer for, in a good way. Coaching clearly has its foundations in the many sports arenas and as we bid farewell to the winter Olympics, this tradition of sporting excellence leads me to think about the Olympian mindset. That overwhelming desire to be not just the best in the sport, or the best in your team, or division, but in the whole wide world.
It is an amazing achievement and a dream for many to hold an Olympic medal….especially the coveted gold. These amazing athletes go above and beyond not only in their discipline and physical training but also in their mental preparation. So, what is the difference between a good athlete and someone who is an Olympian.
As an Olympic athlete and they may not know in a logical way why they can tip the scales from good to exceptional but with some modelling skills then you help to identify their strategy and replicate it! Not necessarily in the sport but imagine having an Olympic mind set as a manager, a sales person, a teacher, how about beating an Olympic parent?
All top athletes know about “the Zone” that magical, elusive area where the mind and body click and start working at a level of synch as close to perfection as they can hope. So – have you ever experienced that perfect few moments when everything just slips into that state of flow? That momentary excellence? That is the zone!
Ok, so we cannot maintain that perfect state all the time, there are so many variables after all, the things within are control are the WAY we think. We choose to live our life based on what we think about, so why not choose to live more in this peak performance state?
Much of how effective we can be at these critical zone moments comes fr0m the inner preparation, the mental rehearsal that we do before the actual even. Great athletes, actors, business people….they all have this in common.
Training, practice, preparing fully in the mind triggers tiny muscles throughout the body. Watch someone engrossed and playing on a video game. I was often laughed at for swerving my entire body in and out of corners in racing games. For that moment my belied and focus was so in the game that my body was responding to my mental preparation, it was a state of flow…or amusement depending on your point of view

The Structure of Magic I: A Book About Language and Therapy and The Structure of Magic II: A Book About Communication and Change, in which they expressed their belief that the therapeutic “magic” as performed in therapy by Perls and Satir, and by performers in any complex human activity, had structure that could be learned by others given the appropriate models. They believed that implicit in the behaviour of Perls and Satir was the ability to challenge distortion, generalization and deletion in a client’s language. For example:
Limitless is the honest answer, hypnosis, hypnotherapy, mind control, brainwashing…..they all get thrown haphazardly into the same pile. You then start looking at the works of McKenna and Derren Brown and how they have attracted their own followers and whether or not this is a good or bad thing and …… well it goes on and on and on….
Hypnosis has its advocates and its detractors, you should check out the history of Hypnosis, this is an age old battle that we repeat in the 21st century. More recently, certainly in the latter part of the 2oth century there has been some medical research linked to the benefits and effectiveness of Hypnosis.
Stage Hypnosis has done more harm than good for many serious Hypnotists, to the point where Hypnotherpay took was the preference for many professionals to fly their banner under. Guys, think this through
Hypno – the – rapist the break down does not inspire confidence, I honestly had a client who read it that way. Funny as hell but it does start the therapeutic relationship on the back foot somewhat. So what is the difference between Hypnosis and Hypnotherpay? In all honesty not a great deal. There is no central governing body “officially”, it is still not recgonised, though it is increasingly used as an adjunt to medical setttings.
Marketing has provided its own spin to Hypnosis, it needs to seeing as Hypnosis is taken from the greek “Hypno” to sleep and yet no sleep is ever involved. Confused yet?
This is a fascinating area of study, enquiry or training. We aim to be a great resource whether that is providing all the relevant details or signposting you to the best place to find more information.
